Sydney Marina Investment Seminar a Success

The first ever Marina Investment Seminar was successfully conducted in Sydney | 2nd October 2014.

The Seminar was endorsed by the Global Marina institute (GMI) and delivered by the Marina Industries Association in conjunction with KPMG Sydney.

The Seminar was fully subscribed with 20 delegates and 6 presenters participating in the interactive program. Delegates included marina owners and developers, investment advisory executives and legal and valuation specialists active with both marina businesses and government agencies. Delegates attended from across Australia, Asia and the United States.

The Chairman of GMI, Mick Bettesworth, opened the seminar by providing a global overview of the marina industry. He expressed his delight at the calibre of the attendees; the networks that developed over the course of the day and the very positive seminar feedback provided by delegates at the conclusion of the day.

  • & the buying and selling of marina assets.

In reviewing the Seminar GMI and MIA Director Jeff d’Albora said “the Seminar was a success and it is important we build on this as a platform to boost the status of marinas as an attractive asset for investment.” GMI partner the British Marine Federation plan to hold the second GMI Marina Investment Seminar in London during the London Boat show in January 2015.
