After a successful 25 year career with the MDL Marinas Group, Mick Bettesworth has left the company to establish Mick Bettesworth Marina Consultants Ltd.
The new consultancy will offer a complete range of services to marina developers and owners worldwide, from site identification and design through to business planning, advice on pricing and market positioning.
A professional practising Chartered Surveyor, Bettesworth became the first European Certified Marina Manager (CMM) in 1995 and has extensive experience in both marina operations and waterside development throughout Europe.
He served on the Board of the Association of Marina Industries (AMI) and International Marina Institute (IMI) for eight years, has taught at numerous marina management courses in the UK and Europe and taken part in many marina conferences around the world as an accomplished and knowledgeable speaker.
Bettesworth remains chairman of the Global Marina Institute (GMI), a post he has held since 2010, and is a director of the English Riviera Tourist Company.
